Position Description:

Analysts assume meaningful roles in deal execution, business development and firm operations. Analysts work directly with BA senior management and BA clients at the CEO and Board level and are given broad-based and in-depth exposure to exciting growth companies. Two-year commitment required.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior bankers, assisting them with development of client relationships and structuring financial transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, and raising capital via equity and debt securities.
  • Participate in all aspects of client management and business development including:
    • Drafting client pitch and presentation materials, M&A advisory and capital markets analytical support, conducting industry research and analysis, forensic financial statement analysis, preparing prospective target lists
    • Drafting process marketing materials, including executive summaries, overview presentations and confidential information memorandums
    • Organizing, preparing for and serving as coordinator of conference calls
    • Tracking client processes and drafting regular process updates
    • Attending and preparing for Board meetings; preparing Board materials
    • Preparing and managing online data rooms
    • Participating in all aspects of negotiation and transaction closing
    • Supporting new client origination efforts, relationships with strategic and financial buyers and investors, and industry trade show/conference preparation
    • Participating in internal BA project activities, either independently or in coordination with assigned BA project member

 

Experience/Skills:

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a strong GPA, including coursework in Finance, Accounting and Economics.
  • 6-12 months investment banking experience.
  • Robust financial, analytical and research skill set.
  • A solid understanding of financial statement analysis, the mergers & acquisitions process, and company valuation techniques (discounted cash flow analysis, public company multiples, transaction multiples).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Superior analytical, writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
